We went to the grocery store earlier this week and when we passed the store Ana ask if we could go shopping. This is Ana’s way to looking for a new toy. When we got to the toy isle Ana’s eye were wide open. She has to look at every toy that is there. It took some time before we found a Mr. Potato Head toy for Ana. Of course, she couldn’t wait to get home and open the new toy. This a a story about Ana’s unboxing silly potato head. I you don’t know the toy, it is a plastic potato where you can add arms, eye, ears and so on.
A minute after we got home from grocery shopping Ana was asking about her toy. When we took it out of the bag she said, look its silly potato head. After looking at the box she started to name all of the parts, like eyes, mouth, and ears.
Ana quickly figured out how to put Mr. Potato Head together. She even tried on the glasses herself. It was not long until she found out that you did not have to put the body parts in the right place, she ended up with the eyes on the back, both arms on one side, the mouth no top and the ears on the front where the nose should go.
I guess Ana calling it Silly potato head is correct. You can make it look silly, and she did over and over again. Ana really enjoyed this toy and continues to play with it.
