Brooklyn Botanical Garden

Another nice day in New York, so it’s time to go out. A couple of years ago we went to the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens with some friends. Ana was only one year old at the time, we planned on going back last year but because of Corona Viruses we were unable. It seemed like the perfect day to go out, so this is our Brooklyn Botanical Garden adventures.

Driving to Brooklyn

Driving into Brooklyn from our house only takes around 10 minutes but getting to the botanical gardens takes another 30-45 minutes depending on traffic. The total distance is only around 12 miles, but with traffic this isn’t a fast trip.  One good thing is there’s a parking lot right next to the botanical gardens, so there is no need to search for parking.

The Botanical Gardens

Last time we went it was early spring, most of the flowers were not in bloom, but the cherry trees were. This time it was mid-summer and different flowers were in bloom. We had to stop a couple of times and film some background for Bryna singing. Luckily, when we were filming there were not a lot of people, and no one walked in front of the camera.

Flowers

Ana had a blast; she would run from flower to flower and loved all the different colors. Ana would see a different color flower and could not wait to get up to them. Ana was also in awe of the wildlife, including the stork standing in the water.

One thing about the botanical gardens is you will see different flowers and blooming trees depending on the time of year. So, each time you go you can see something different. If you want to see more of our Brooklyn Botanical Garden adventures, please click the video below.
