Bryna’s Surprise Lunch
A couple of months ago I cooked Bryna chicken kabobs, they turned out only ok. I had to find a new way to add flavor. The last time I only used garlic butter to baste the kabobs. I decided to try a different approach for Bryna’s surprise lunch.
Shopping
To start with I had to go shopping. We had some of the ingredients in the house but not all of them. Bryna and Ana came with me, but they stayed in the car while I did the shopping. I pick up almost everything on the list except for the lemon and tomatoes. Luckily, I still had some good cherry tomatoes that I could use.
Making Surprise Lunch
Ana of course was there to help me. I chopped all of the ingredients and started to marinate them. It is best if you marinate for at least a couple of hours. I found having a piece of chicken first and last on the skewer works best. If there is a tomato or mushroom last, they tend to fall off.
Cooking was easy, I just used the indoor grill, this also works great on the outdoor grill. I turned the kabobs every couple of minutes until the chicken was thoroughly cooked. When they were done, I set up the table and surprised Bryna with lunch. She had no idea what I was cooking and was surprised with the kabobs. The first time I cooked Bryna kabobs it was on the grill. Bryna watched me grill. When they were hot off the grill Bryna picked one up and had to drop it fast before it burned her. Since then, this has been one of the family favorites, especial with the new marinade. This is the story of Bryna lunch surprise.
