Ana going fast on a sled

After the snowstorm Ana is happy on a sled

The last time we had snow I order a sled, of course it was delivered after the snow was gone. But another storm earlier this week left a lot of snow behind. Before we went out, Ana just sat in the sled pretending she was going fast. So, we headed out to find a small hill for Ana to play on. Ana is so happy on a sled.

We told Ana that we had a big fun surprise, and she could not wait. She has never been on a sled in the snow before (only sitting on the sled in the house). We went right down the road, to the beach. The beach has sand dunes to protect houses during a storm, they help with flooding. I thought it would be a good easy hill for Ana.

I ended up pulling Ana across the parking lot, onto the trail leading to the beach. Ana was so happy, she couldn’t wait to go fast. We finally got the sand dune, which was covered in snow but there was a problem….

Bryna was overprotective and did not want Ana to go down the hill. Bryna wanted to go back to the car, but Ana and I had other ideas. I pulled Ana up the hill, Bryna was saying no its too dangerous we should go. So, I told Ana to hold onto the sled and asked if she was ready. Bryna was starting to come up the hill so I released Ana. All I could hear was Ana laughing and having fun, Bryna rushed to save Ana and stopped the first ride early.

Bryna the overprotective mom

I joked with Bryna that she wants to wrap Ana in bubble wrap, with a helmet, body armor, and a safety parachute just in case. So up the hill Ana and I went again, this time Bryna waited at the bottom and did not rush in to stop the ride. Over and over again Ana went up the hill and as Ana would say “Ana goes so fast, again Daddy”.

I did talk Bryna to have a go (and I forgot to hit record on the camera, silly me), but she did enjoy the ride. And I went a couple of times myself. Overall, Ana had a great day, and Ana is so happy on a sled she can’t wait for more snow and to go fast again.
