Homemade Lasagna

Homemade Lasagna

I don’t make lasagna too often, it’s not hard work, and doesn’t even take that long to make. The two problems I have is buying the mozzarella cheese and eating too many tomatoes.  The first problem is the last two times I purchased the mozzarella cheese it was eaten before I could use it. The second problem is eating tomatoes, which is in the sauce tends to give me some heartburn.  Today I had taken my medication and the cheese was still in the refrigerator. It is finally time to make homemade lasagna.

Preparation

Boling the lasagna noodles takes the longest in the perpetration, so I start by boiling the water. With the water on I start to brown the ground beef, chop the onions and garlic. I also start warming the sauce up. When the beef is ready, the sauce is already at least warm with the onions and garlic added in. Now it’s just waiting time for the pasta.

Making the Homemade Lasagna

This is easy and sort of fun. I start with some sauce on the bottom of the pan, add one layer of pasta. More sauce, mozzarella cheeses, and some ricotta cheese. Another layer of pasta, sauce, mozzarella, and ricotta. And finally, the last layer of pasta with the remaining sauce and more mozzarella cheese.
