More House Hunting
We decided to go back upstate New York for more houses we’re so close to Canada. My phone actually picked up cell tower and said welcome to Canada even though we were still in New York. We planned on seeing two to three houses but before we could get there to the house is already sold. This is our journey exploring more house hunting.
Upstate New York
We drove to upstate New York near Canada’s border; the house would look at it was on Black Lake. The lake side was full of summer cabins, and in a really quiet area to live. The house is two stories, three bedrooms, with a basement. Plenty storage above the garage. The house also included an inground pool overlooking the lake. The yard was large with two acres of land, a garden, and ended on the lake all in the quiet countryside.
That’s how the house was nice, the master bedroom on the 1st floor with the bathroom. Upstairs two bedrooms were a little on the small side but still not too bad. The basement was finished with large family room a sauna and a walk out to the pool and back yard.
The Problems
The problems with the house were a lack of an office space and where we’re going to set up our studio for green screen shooting videos. However, the basement would have worked there was space to make a green screen and still have some storage and keep the family room.
The main problem was the location there was only a small village. The village was about 15 minutes away but did not offer a lot. We were also worried with all of the lake surrounded my summer cabins how busy the lake would be in the summer. If the entire lake was filled with jet skis and boats, it would not be enjoyable for us to use.
Overall, each time we look at a new area we learn what to look for the next time. This was a nice house the only thing holding us back was the location. We originally put an offer in, but after a long drive home we decided this was a good house just not for us. If you want to see more house hunting, click on the video below.
