After the winter storm
Last year Ana received an Elsa costume from Frozen for Halloween. Unfortunately, we did not go out on Halloween. In the movie Frozen, Elsa is Anna’s big sister, so our Ana wants a sister too. Ana could not wait to try on the costume and play Elsa again. In the movie Elsa caused a deep freeze in all of the land. When we had a big snowstorm with around 15 inches (38 cm) of snow, Ana thinks Elsa started the storm, and could also stop the storm.
Ana in the Snow
This is the first year Ana really went out in the snow. The day before Ana would look out the window and tell everyone “it’s snowing outside”. I think every hour or so Ana would go to the window and see if it was still snowing.
When the snowstorm was mostly over, we went out to play. Ana had to dress up as Elsa and had to bring Olof (the snowman from Frozen) with her. It was hard getting her ready. She did not want to wear a coat or hat, so she had a lot of clothing on under the costume including a hat under the wig. Ana sang one of the songs from Frozen, where Elsa says the cold doesn’t bother her.
Ana (I should say Elsa) told the storm to stop. And soon after the snow did stop falling (it was the end of the storm). After singing and dancing in the snow we were cold, but Ana wanted to stay outside and play.
Ana loved running around in the snow. But when she found a snow drift that was too big, almost as deep as she is tall, she made me carry he back inside.
Ana loves to dress up and giving the chance to dress up and go outside she was so excited. It was hard to get her back in out of the cold. If it wasn’t for the deep snowdrift we may still be outside running around and singing.
